Picking up those brushes again.

Hi and welcome to the occasional mutterings of Dave Doc, a military modeller and some time gamer. Gaming and model making has given me a real education, History & Geography(obvious really), Artistry, Politics, Economics, Logistics, Project Management -you try building miniature armies without the last 3.

I will use the blog to record my creations & the odd occasion I actually do some gaming.

I have always been inspired by the aesthetic side of gaming. Playing on well constructed terrain using excellently painted units is always a joy.

The Pony Express

Another addition to the collection. Artizan Designs figure galloping to deliver the mail and dodging outlaws and ner'do wells. There is also a dismounted version kneeling firing , he will be along shortly.

And some more of the good and upgright citizens of the town of Serenity courtesy of Blue Moon Manufacturing's Tombstone Civilians set - It really is a cracking set of very individual figures

Mrs Hilda Johnson and Eliza Johnson
Ned Johnson and son Gabby (he's a big strong lad)  from the Dried Goods Emporium
and some that are less often upright than the others if you know what i mean - resident at the "Cattlemans Saloon" , more often than not.

Phew - back to tartan for few days next.

  2. Little does Hilda suspect that Eliza is less often upright than those demure looks might suggest ;)

    Great work Dave :)
